The areas Islas Medes and the Parc natural del Montgrì are a real biodiversity hotspot of the Mediterranean! All habitats are represented here: Karst caves, rocky and sandy bottoms, seagrass meadows. So there are plenty of exciting things to discover while snorkeling or kayaking. The coasts offer cork oak stands and typical Mediterranean scrub. In the La Pletera wetlands, flamingos can even be seen from time to time – and of course plenty of other waterfowl species.
